Police arrest 12 suspected cultists in Ogwashi Uku for alleged murder

Twelve suspected cultists have been arrested by the police in their hideout at Agidiese quarters, Ogwashi Uku, Delta State for the alleged murder of one Ifeanyi Umeadi at Ogbeofu axis of the community last month.

The suspects include Chiedu Ewuzie, Bright Ushiagwu alias Small, and Nnamdi Okocha a dreaded arrow barger cult group.

Parading the suspects in Asaba, the state commissioner of police, Mohammed Ari Ali said they have been on the run since the crime was committed.

The police boss said three suspects namely; 48 years old Oyinaya Augustine, Bishop Ifeanyi Eneh of Ikotun Egbe Lagos State and Lilian Eze, 27 years old were arrested in the Boneac area of Asaba for the removal of Toyota Sienna Sedan car with Reg. No. AJL 330 PC Silver colour from where it was parked at Amichi in Anambra State.

The vehicle was intercepted on the way to Asaba.

One of the suspects, Onyinaya is said to be a popular notorious car snatcher who was one time arrested in November 2010 and charged to court in Anambra State.

Another suspect Bishop, Ali said, has been using his lawyer who uses human rights to attack law enforcement agencies from arresting and prosecuting the said suspect.

He was to take the vehicle to Lagos but luck ran out of him this time as he was caught in the act, the commissioner stated, adding the suspects will be charged to court.
