This is just as Nigerian Tribune gathered that the four-time Senator James Manager currently representing Delta South at the Senate beat Hon. Michael Diden, also known as Ejele, in the PDP Delta South district primary that held at Oleh, in Isoko.
The epic battle for the Delta North senate seat was among Senator Nwaoboshi, Paul Osaji and Ned Nwoko.

In the result announced late Tuesday evening in the primary that was held at the Cenotaph ground, Asaba, Senator Nwaoboshi polled 506 to beat his closest rival, Ned Nwoko, a former member of the House of Representatives, who scored 453 votes and Paul Osaji, 216 votes.
Votes voided, in the largely peaceful exercise, were 19 in a keenly contested primary that witnessed much horse-trading in the build-up.
The Returning Officer, who declared the result and Nwaoboshi the winner, was Mrs Uzor Nwandu, who also presided over the PDP Governorship primary that produced Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as winner on Sunday.
Meanwhile, details of the Delta South Senatorial District results could not be got as of the time of filing this report.
