Oyo Assembly constitutes statutory committees

The 10th Oyo State House of Assembly has announced names of members of its seven statutory committees.

The list of the committee members was made available to newsmen by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Honourable Akintayo Waheed.

In line with the general House rules, the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin is the Chairman House Committee on Selection/Functionaries while the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Fadeyi Abiodun Mohammed is the Vice Chairman.

Other members are the House Leader, Honourable Sanjo Adedoyin; the Minority Leader, Honourable Salami Ayinde Waliu; Chief Whip, Honourable Oyekola Gbenga; Deputy House Leader, Honourable Olasunkanmi Babalola and Honourable Adebayo Babajide Gabriel while the Deputy Clerk of the House, Mrs Muraina-Akinola Adenike is the committee clerk.

The Rules and Business Committee of the House is headed by the Leader of the House, Honourable Sanjo Adedoyin while the Minority Leader, Honourable Salami Ayinde Waliu is the Vice Chairman.

Other members of the Rules and Business Committee are Honourable Oyekola Gbenga Joseph, Honourable Adeola Bamidele and Honourable Olajide Olufunke while the deputy clerk, Mrs Muraina-Akinola Taiwo Adenike is the committee clerk.

The Chief Whip, Honourable Oyekola Gbenga Joseph is the Chairman of the Ethics and Privileges Committee while Honourable Adebisi Yusuf Oladeni is the Vice Chairman.

Other members include Honourable Abdul Azeez Musibau, Honourable Babalola Oluwaseun and Honourable Shittu Aremu. The deputy clerk, Mrs Muraina- Akinola Adenike is the committee clerk.

Honourable Rahman Olorunpoto is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Petitions and the Vice Chairman of the Committee is Honourable Olusola Adewale Owolabi.

The Committee members are Honourable Adeola Bamidele, Honourable Ogundele Abideen Adeoye, Honourable Jimoh Lukman Ishola while the Director Legislative Matters, Mr Kehinde Ibrahim is the Committee Clerk.

The House Services Committee is headed by Honourable Adebayo Babajide Gabriel while Honourable Ojedokun Peter Gbadegesin is the Vice Chairman of the Committee Honourable Oparinde Oladeji, Honourable Mrs Oluranti Olubisi Oyewo-Micheal and Honourable Ogunsola Anthony Oladejo are members of the Committee while the Deputy Director, Legislative Matters, Mrs Ogundeji Aderonke is the committee clerk.

The Public Accounts Committee of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly is to be chaired by Honourable Samson Olasunkanmi Babalola while his Vice is Honourable Rahmon Olorunpoto.

Other members are Honourable Salami Ayinde Waliu, Honourable Omikunle Olayinka Ayobami and Honourable Johnson Ogundare Akintola.

A Senior Legislative Officer, Mr Adetunji Isiaka is the Committee Clerk.

The Media And Public Affairs Committee is headed by Honourable Akintayo Waheed Kolawole while Honourable Olajide Akintunde Emmanuel is the vice chairman of the committee.

Members are Honourable Akande Modiu Opeyemi, Honourable Olalere Dawood and Honourable Abiola Monsuru Olalekan.

Mr Ojerinde Olufemi, a senior legislative officer is the committee clerk.
