Ekiti state governor, Biodun Oyebanji and a chieftain of the All Progress Congress(APC) Hon Adesola Adedayo have commended President Bola Tinubu over the appointment of two prominent sons of the state, Dele Alake and Ibrahim Olarenwaju as aides.
While President Tinubu appointed Alake from Ikoro-Ekiti, Ijero Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Strategy, Communication and Special Duties; Olarenwaju, an indigene of Otun- Ekiti, Moba Local Government Area and member of the 9Th House of Representatives was named on Monday a Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
Governor Oyebanji, in a statement on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, who described the duo of Alake and Olanrewaju as “very experienced, hardworking and capable”, said he was happy the President found them worthy of such significant positions in his government.
He said, “This is a call to serve and I trust the duo of Alake and Olanrewaju’s capacities to make a huge success of the new assignments the way they have done in previous assignments given to them.
“On behalf of the Government and good people of Ekiti State, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to the President for this great honour and recognition accorded our brothers- Mr Dele Alake and Hon Ibrahim Olanrewaju.
“Hearty congratulations to them on the new appointments. We wish them success as they deploy their energy, contacts, a wealth of experience and political sagacity in repositioning their respective offices for excellent service delivery in the overall interest of the country.”
On his part, Adedayo in a statement assured President Tinubu that Olanrewaju won’t betray the confidence reposed in his ability, character, conduct and competence, saying he would discharge his duties zealously and patriotically for the uplift of the Nigerian nation.
The APC chieftain said: “Let me on behalf of myself, my family and the entire people of Moba LGA congratulate Hon Ibrahim Olanrewaju on this appointment that really attested to the fact that his soaring political stature has garnered national recognition.
” I am quite convinced that this new position will come with a lot of onerous responsibilities and I want to charge Hon Olanrewaju to bring out his best mental resource to discharge them to raise the respect being accorded an average Ekiti man in national politics.”
Adedayo added: “Let me also congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji under whose reign good things are happening to Ekiti and Dr Kayode Fayemi for supporting his political scions to grow and rise to stardom so that they can become accomplished personalities.
“Ekiti is lucky this time because, just a few days back, President Tinubu also announced the appointment of former Lagos State Information Commissioner, Mr. Dele Alake as a Special Adviser in charge of Communication and Strategy. These are good testimonies happening under the current governor.
“I knew the two personalities quite well and their competencies and diligence to any duty they are saddled with. They will make Nigerians proud, particularly Mr President, who considered them worthy of being saddled with these huge national assignments.”
