Our community will be made great again ― Ilaje group

The leadership of Ilaje Development Summit Group (IDSG) has assured the people of Ilaje communities of unprecedented development.

The Executive Administrator of IDSG, Rev. Sola Adebawo, who stated this in Akure, the Ondo State capital during a summit urged the people of the coastal community to give priority to the development of the area.

He stressed the need for the people of the area to liberate themselves from poverty, underdevelopment and poor leadership, urging them to embrace peace, saying peace is synonymous to develop.

Adebawo said, “Ilaje land has the requisite human and intellectual resources to govern itself better that it currently does, and to develop itself in a sustainable way.”

Adebawo said Ilaje people have finally decided to take their honourable place in the comity of ethnic nationalities.

“Nothing can withstand the power of a determined people when they decide they’ve had enough.

“The strategy of Ilaje development summit group is to collaborate with the government and all relevant stakeholders to help develop Ilaje land in a strategic, planned and sustainable way.

“IDSG is made up of intelligent sons and daughters of Ilaje land across different walks of life and in different countries of the world.

“With the approach to the summit and the quality of people who have moved into Akure for the event, it is evident that Ilaje will be great again.”
