Ondo lawmaker-elect pledges quality representation, dividends of democracy

A House of Assembly member-elect representing Ondo West Constituency 2, Biola Oladapo, has promised his constituents quality representation and democracy dividend by making appropriate laws that will benefit and better their lives.

Oladapo who stated this after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said priority will be given to the welfare of the people.

The APC lawmaker-elect who commended the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, for giving youths in the state sense of belonging and other necessary support.

He equally appreciated the state chairman of APC, Ade Adetimehin, all the leaders in his constituency including Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Jibayo Adeyeye, Biola Makinde and others as well as the electorate for their support and cooperation which gave him overwhelming victory at the Assembly polls.

He promised not to take the mandate given to him for granted, but to work very hard to justify the confidence reposed in him by bringing development to his constituency and meeting the expectations of the electorate.

The Acting Resident Electoral Commissioner, (REC), Mr Oyekola Oyelami, while addressing the lawmakers-elect, urged them to carry out their legislative duties in line with the mandate given to them by the electorate.

Oyelami said the issuance of the Certificates of Return was in line with the Constitution.

Speaking on the occasion, Ondo State Governor, Akeredolu represented by the Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye said the people expect much from the members-elect to better their lots.

The ceremony was also witnessed by the State Chairman of APC, Ade Adetimehin, party leaders and members, family members, friends and associates.
