Ondo Guber: Prepare your handover notes, Edema tells Aiyedatiwa

Published by

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the forthcoming Ondo state election, Hon. Olugbenga Edema, on Sunday, asked Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to start preparing a handover note ahead of the November election.

Edema, who stated this in Akure, the Ondo state capital, maintained that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would be voted out of power, saying the incumbent governor has failed the people of the state.

He vowed to unseat Aiyedatiwa, claiming that the APC-led administration has lost touch with reality and will be rejected by the people.

The NNPP candidate, expressing his determination to bring about positive change and progress, committed to addressing pressing issues and implementing policies that prioritize the welfare and development of citizens.

Edema promised to end hunger and economic hardship, pledging to alleviate the excruciating pains facing residents if elected as governor.

He announced the appointment of Mr. Adeyemi Adegoke Alaba as the Director-General of the NNPP campaign organization in the state, stating that Alaba would leverage his expertise and network to drive the NNPP’s agenda and engage effectively with voters.

Edema expressed confidence in Alaba’s ability to deliver, congratulating him on his appointment.

He remarked that Alaba’s extensive experience would bring fresh perspective and creativity to the NNPP’s campaign ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election.

He said, “Adeyemi Adegoke Alaba’s appointment as the Director-General of our campaign organization is a testament to his proven track record of excellence and dedication to public service.

I am confident that his leadership and strategic vision will be invaluable in driving our campaign forward. With Adeyemi Adegoke Alaba at the helm, I have no doubt that we will be able to effectively communicate our message to the people of Ondo State and garner their support.

His wealth of experience and professional affiliations will undoubtedly strengthen our campaign efforts and help us connect with voters across the state.”

Alaba, a seasoned professional, is seen as a strategic move by the NNPP candidate to bolster his campaign strategies.

The newly appointed Director-General is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin and Adekunle Ajasin University, where he honed his skills in law and business administration.

Alaba, a public servant who rose to the rank of Permanent Secretary, showcases his dedication to public service. He is a prominent member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria.
