Oluwo plans to hold summit for herders, farmers to ensure harmonious relationship in Osun

In his desperate move to cement a mutual relationship between the herders and farmers in Iwo, Osun State, the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HRM Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi has fixed 18, May 2021 for a summit between the two groups.

The monarch who made this known in a statement in Osogbo explained that the summit was to ensure a harmonious relationship and bring a lasting solution to Herders-Farmers clashes in the town and its environs.

He stressed that the session would hold at Oluwo’s Palace Square in the town and listed those expected to be at the occasion as all traditional rulers in Iwoland, the Fulanis, farmers and stakeholders.

He however enjoined interested individuals to equally join as the summit will be a pilot project and template for Nigeria and Nigerians.
