The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, has installed Alhaji Mukaila Fasasi as the Baale of bread bakers in Ibadan.
Fasasi is the first to be honoured with this title due to his impacts in the bread market and because of his wide acceptability among his colleagues.
Oba Adetunji described the bread bakers’ leader as a successful businessman who has contributed immensely to the development of Ibadanland and its environs.
The traditional ruler added that Fasasi rose from being a mere bread seller to the head and later a popular bread baker known to scores of people in Ibadanland.
Oba Adetunji, who described the installation as a success for the entire bread bakers association prayed for continued peace among members of the association.
In his reaction, Fasasi thanked the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, Oba Adetunji, all traditional rulers in Ibadanland and members of the association across the state for their continued support.
He also enjoined them to be united, saying the united they stand, and divided they fall.
