Old students donate renovated facility to alma mater

Old students of Jubril Martins Grammar School, Iponri, Lagos State (set of 1980) have donated a renovated facility as part of efforts to give back to their alma mater.

The renovation project which involves six classrooms and two laboratories was commissioned in the presence of the current principal, some old students and present students in the school premises in Lagos.

Speaking on the development, a member of the Project Committee, Mr Fola Tinubu,
said the essence is to enhance education for the students of the school.

Tinubu who described the old students as men of honour and virtue also lauded them for their focus and determination in ensuring that the task of giving the school a new look was carried out in good time.

He enjoined the teachers and students to continue to uphold the motto of the school by making virtue their pillar.

Other members said being part of this project was the best thing that could happen, and if every old student in Nigeria can help to develop their respective schools, Nigeria education will be better for it.

They advised the students to start developing their leadership skills in order to be useful in the society.

The chairman of the old students association unveiled the new projects carried out by the 1980 of the school.
