Ogun highway abduction: Gunmen release three Indian nationals

The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police on Wednesday said that three Indian nationals abducted last weekend by suspected gunmen on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Expressway, have regained their freedom.

This disclosure was made by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola.

Tribune Online recalls that no fewer than 20 persons were abducted by suspected hoodlums at the Delabo junction axis of the expressway.

She explained that efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.

Meanwhile, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, last Tuesday, directed all security agencies in the state to ensure the safety of the victims and apprehend those behind the act.

Abiodun said his administration would not allow hoodlums to turn the state into a den of criminals.
