Ogun govt will continue to support youths, Abiodun’s wife says

The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun has said that the present administration in the state will continue to provide support for its teeming youths.

She noted that the government led by her husband will leave no stone unturned by tapping into the enormous talents that abound in the youths in order to foster economic development.

Mrs Abiodun stated this while receiving members of the Ogun Youth Advocate For Social Development (OGYASD) at her Oke-Mosan office, Abeokuta at the weekend.

Speaking in reference to Ogun indigenes who are leading in universities abroad, Mrs Abiodun said: “This administration has a lot for the youth. Whatever has been done for youths since the inception of this administration is just the tip of the iceberg. This is an administration that believes so much in the power of the youth and it is working tirelessly to tap into their talents to increase the wealth of the state.

“Ogun youths are doing great everywhere even abroad, they are taking the lead. We believe that if they are embraced, they have a lot to contribute to the state and the country at large that is why the Ogun State Government is not taking them for granted.”

The OGYASD President, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu, urged Governor Dapo Abiodun not to rest on his oars in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state, especially the youth.

Speaking further on the governor’s wife, Alamu said: “As far as Ogun State is concerned, the youth of our great state regard you as a kind-hearted, ever-caring, accommodating, mother with listening ears that love the youth with all her heart and would do anything within her power to ensure that youths are recognised and empowered in the society.”

Alamu commended her for her efforts in providing stimulus packages for the group as well as the less-privileged and vulnerable in the state in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.
