Oga Kizito’s debut project, Chillolo, wasted no time to clinch the top spot on Nigeria’s iTunes album chart upon its release, amidst releases from more popular pop stars like Teni and Peruzzi. The project has remained on the chart for one straight week, as Oga Kizito makes a bold statement that he is here to stay.
Kizito Ovie Efeotor, known professionally as Oga Kizito, is a Ghana-based Nigerian Afrofusion artiste, from Delta State, Nigeria. Oga Kizito is a flash fictional writer and award-winning poet.
Upon release of his debut single entitled, Rice and beans, Oga Kizito, bagged an award for Artiste with potentials at the Top Naija Music Awards 2017.
The Afro-pop act via his official Twitter and Instagram handles @Ogakizito, announced as he puts pen to paper to partner Nigeria’s foremost digital music management platform, Music Beyond Borders International, a subsidiary of Top Africa Music Limited.
With Chillolo, Oga Kizito explores and experiments his lyrical dexterity and sound.
Chillolo is a four-track EP with Kruz featuring Dannyello, both artists lay bare their innermost thoughts and feelings while enjoying and cruising through the moment. Bebe features Johny Richie, as Oga Kizito flaunts his lyrical dexterity and Ghana pidgin on this one. The Launxch produced Godzilla, features vocals from Dannyello. Oga Kizito and Dannyello, brag about themselves, their worth and talent while warning that they shouldn’t be slept on. Oga Kizito ends the project with Logoligi, a blend of Ghana highlife sound with Nigerian pop vibe, featuring vocals from Verse6ix.
The emerging pop star’s partnership with the renowned Music Beyond Borders International is sure to add flavour to his music game.
