Obasanjo commissions road projects in Bauchi

Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo on Sunday, commissioned Three major roads projects in Bauchi undertaken by the Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir led administration.

The roads completed and commissioned are the 7km Awalah-Maiduguri Road dualization, 17.7km Awalah – Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Road dualization and the 30km Gubi -ruda Bida -Siyi Nasarawa Road construction.

While speaking shortly before he cut the tapes to commission the projects, Olusegun Obasanjo commended the developmental efforts of Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir saying that it is what people are expecting from a leader.

The former President further praised the Governor for the complete transformation and turnaround of the infrastructure base of the state within the period of the administration stressing that it is a well noted trajectory.

Olusegun Obasanjo used the occasion to urge leaders of the country to emulate Bala Mohammed’s developmental strides, particularly in providing dividends of democracy to the teeming citizens and people who voted for them during the elections.

The former Nigeria’s President, stressed that good governance will promote effective followership which is what the country needs at present through transformative infrastructure initiatives.

The commissioned road projects highlight Governor Mohammed’s commitment to improving connectivity and infrastructure throughout Bauchi State.

At the event, Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed showcased his administration’s accomplishments, which include the construction of over 1,000 roads.

Bala Mohammed while highlighting his administration’s strides in education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, and security, reiterated his dedication to sustained growth and improving the well-being of Bauchi’s residents.

Speaking separately, local government Chairmen and the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, expressed their support during the event, praising Governor Mohammed’s leadership and his administration’s positive impact on the socio-economic development of the state.
