A youth organization, The Unified Northern Nigeria Youths Forum (UNNYF) has called on Nigerians to support the presidential aspiration of the incumbent Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Dr Godwin Emefiele, as the next President of Nigeria for unity, economic and political progress of the country.
Director General of the group, Dr Ibrahim Bature, stated this on Sunday in Minna, Niger State capital in an interview with the newsmen, during the group’s road walk in Minna, calling for Igbo presidency come next year’s 2023 general elections for fairness and justice.
Bature said that the CBN governor has proved his worth and urged northerners in particular and Nigerians, in general, to rally round him considering his policies, which he says “have rejuvenated the nation’s economy, especially in the agricultural sector, adding that it is now contributing tremendously to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

He said, “if elected as a financial expert, especially as an economist that Dr Godwin Emefiele will surely replicate those impacted policies in other sectors of the national economy, for the betterment of the country to enable Nigeria to join the league of nations.”
Also, in his separate remarks, the Spokesperson of the group, Aliyu Mohammed Sani, described Dr Emefiele as a Southerner with a Northern heart, the champion of Northern Renaissance, hence the need to declare the one hundred percent support for the green icon whom he described as a “liberator of the northern people”.
Also, the State Coordinator, Mohammed Alhaji Mohammed, enumerated some of the achievements recorded by Emefiele-led administration as CBN governor, that has impacted positively on women, youths and vulnerable Nigerians.
