Ask the Doctor

No menses at 14

Published by

I am 14 years of age and I am yet to see my menses. All my other friends have seen theirs. Kindly tell me what to do as I am getting worried.

Most girls begin their periods between ages 9 and 18. The average is around 12 years old. ..You don’t need to worry since girls (even when they are blood sisters) don’t always see their menses at the same time. Yours will still come but if it does not come by the time you are 16, then you will need to see a doctor for a general medical examination.
