With just a few hours to the 2023 general elections, here are some tips for staying safe during the polls, TRIBUNE ONLINE reports.

1. Avoid criticising any candidate.

2. Do not argue about politics before, during, or after voting your preferred candidate.

3. Stay away from unidentified or suspicious groups.

4. Always monitor news and happenings before going out to vote.

5. Avoid making controversial or damaging posts online.

6. Do not wear campaign or branded materials.

7. Keep emergency numbers close. See something, say something!
