Nigeria records 599 new COVID-19 cases, total now 239,019

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, announced that the country has recorded 599 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in Nigeria to 239,019.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Facebook handle.

“599 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Delta-194, Edo-94, FCT-80, Kaduna-48, Lagos-35, Ondo-23, Kano-21, Rivers-20, Kwara-20, Ogun-18, Plateau-12, Abia-8, Cross River-8, Ekiti-6, Bauchi-3.

“239,019 confirmed , 213,180 discharged 3,027 deaths.

“Today’s report includes:
▪️2 states with zero cases reported: Osun, and Sokoto.
▪️194 cases reported for Delta state from 13th – 26th (191) and 27th (3) December 2021.”
