Nigeria records 4035 new COVID-19 cases in one day

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday, announced that the country has recorded 4035 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in Nigeria to 231,413.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Facebook handle.

“4035 new cases of COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-3,393, Rivers-260, Edo-62,Akwa Ibom-42, Kaduna-39, Ekiti-38, Oyo-38, Delta-31, Kano-31, Ogun-30, Abia-26, Bauchi-15, Ondo-14, Enugu-9, Kwara-7.

“231,413 confirmed, 211,853 discharged , 2,991 deaths.

“Today’s report includes:
▪️Additional 2,536 confirmed cases reported from Lagos state for 13th (37), 14th (365), 15th (197), 16th (577), 18th (742) & 19th (618) December.
▪️42 confirmed cases reported from Akwa Ibom state for 20th (13) & 21st (29) December.
▪️ 9 confirmed & 6 discharged cases reported from Enugu State for 21st December.
▪️0 cases reported from Gombe, Osun and Sokoto State.”
