Nigeria records 2123 new COVID-19 cases as total rises to 227,378

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, announced that the country has recorded 2123 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in Nigeria to 227,378.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Facebook handle.

“2123 new cases of COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-1552, FCT-197, Edo-155, Rivers-81, Delta-44, Plateau-33, Kwara-30, Kano-16, Enugu-12, Gombe-2, Bauchi-1.

“227,378 confirmed, 211,761 discharged , 2,989 deaths.

“Today’s report includes:
▪️33 confirmed cases and 10 discharges reported from Plateau state for 20th December 2021.
▪️12 confirmed cases reported from Enugu state for 20th December 2021.
▪️ 0 cases reported from Sokoto State.”
