Niger scholarship board begins 2nd batch of verification for students

Niger State Scholarship Board will begin the physical verification and authentication of students who applied for the 2025 bursary starting Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

In a statement from the Management of the Board, it was stated that students from the listed institutions who applied within the state but have not yet been captured in the verification process should attend.

In addition to that, institutions that have not yet participated in the verification exercise, are hereby advised to remain patient, as arrangements are being made to accommodate all of them.

The institutions involved in the second batch of the physical verification exercise are as follows:

  1. College of Nursing Science, Kontagora
  2. Federal College of Wildlife Management, New Bussa
  3. College of Agriculture, Mokwa
  4. University of Education, Kontagora
  5. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai
  6. College of Nursing Science and Midwifery, Minna
  7. Justice Fatimah Lami College of Administration and Islamic Studies, Minna
  8. Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (affiliated with COE, Minna)
  9. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria (affiliated with COE, Minna)
  10. IBBU, Lapai (affiliated)
  11. ABU, Zaria (affiliated with University of Education, Kontagora)

Students are required to bring both the original and photocopies of the following documents to the verification centers:

  1. Admission letter
  2. Student identification card
  3. Letter of local government of origin
  4. Receipt of last school fee payment
  5. Printout of acknowledgment slip from the Scholarship Board

Further more, all affiliated students must also bring their BVN printout and at least one month’s bank statement.
