No fewer than 50 people including less-privileged ones, windows and orphans benefitted from food items distributed by a non-governmental organization known as the Life Charity Outreach in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Speaking at the group monthly outreach programme in the town, the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Mrs Molara Babatunde Soares said the outfit has been running for a decade with many branches across the country.
Represented by the managing director, Mr Folorunsho Surprise Adesoji, in a statement at the weekend, said the NGO is known for its humanitarian services to the needy ones and promised not to relent in forging ahead to better the lots of all and sundry in the society.
According to him, “the NGO is not about politics and the organisation empowers widows, widowers and the less privileged, especially children with special needs and socially display persons like imbecile and introverts.
Surprise also recalled how the NGO played a very vital role in his life through employment opportunity he got from it as an undergraduate.
He added that many youths who were jobless and unemployed in the society are the target of the NGO as it has been sending many of them to learn different trades in the past and assured that the tempo would be increased unhindered.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Oshinkade olushola Abike, mentioned how the NGO has been helping her undergraduate daughter, among others, with financial and moral supports.
