NASS insecurity: Reps to set up special committee on internal security

Worried by the alarming rate of insecurity at the National Assembly Complex, the House of Representatives is to set up a Special Committee on internal security to tackle the menace.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila who dropped the Lord hint at the resumption of the plenary session today in Abuja lamented that it was very unfortunate that Nigeria has the most porous Parliament in the world.

This followed a point of order raised by a member, Hon. Dederi Haruna Isa (APC-Kano State) on the porousness of the security of the National Assembly Complex despite the numerous security agencies operating at the place.
