A major player in the real estate sector, Blue Mool Limited, has signed a contractual agreement with the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), to develop and build affordable residential homes for resident doctors at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, Delta State.
The residential homes, as gathered, will be built in compliance with modern estate development standard.
This is to lessen the burden of resident doctors driving for hours to get to work every day and to enhance their productivity in the health care sector.
At a brief ceremony at the boardroom of DELSUTH, the managing director of Blue Mool Limited, Fayose Temitope and executive director, Mrs Popo Adeola, signed on behalf of the estate development company.
The immediate past president and secretary general of NARD, Dr Okhuaihesim Uyi Lawa and Dr Jerry Isogun, signed for NARD..
The chief operating officer of Blue Moon Limited, Etsemitan Dennis, who is an indigene of Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state, signed as a witness to Blue Mool Limited and NARD.
A former governor of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who personally received the delegation of Blue Mool Limited and NARD, during a visit at Oghara, lauded the initiative and thanked the organisers for conceiving the lofty idea.
The former governor tasked the initiators to ensure that the project was well executed from conception to finish.
He promised the estate development company and the NARD of his support during the execution of the estate project.
The Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, Noble Etsemitan, who spoke when the delegation paid a courtesy call at the palace, said the idea was a welcome development.
He said that the project would bring rapid transformation to Oghara as a whole.
The traditional ruler praised the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of DELSUTH, Dr Onome Ogueh, NARD and the estate developers for initiating the idea.
He urged them to ensure that the project was executed and completed.
