My wife’s breast lump

Published by

My 33- year old wife who is a mother of two has a lump in her right breast. I was asked to take her to the Teaching Hospital where the lump would be removed and examined. However, my wife is afraid in case her breast will be disfigured or worse still, be eventually removed. Kindly let me know if there is any medicine that can melt the lump instead of removing the lump.

The correct management of a Breast Lump is for the lump to be removed and examined in a laboratory in order for a diagnosis and treatment to be made. This procedure when carried out by experts will not disfigure the breast and unless in extreme cases, rarely leads to a total removal of the breast. It is also very important to state that there is presently no medication that can melt a breast lump.
