My missing tooth

Published by

One of my front teeth was recently removed due to a serious infection which had totally destroyed the tooth. Now when I smile, people make fun of my missing tooth. Kindly let me know how long it takes a tooth to grow back after removal. I am 15 years old.

Permanent teeth are usually in place by 12 years of age. Except in rare cases, permanent teeth don’t grow back after being removed.  At your age, it is very unlikely for your permanent teeth to grow back. Therefore, the solution to your problem will be for your dentist to give you an artificial tooth which you can wear to cover the missing gap.
