Several factors can be responsible for this kind of problem. These are; weight gain or loss, Birth Control Pills, Uterine Fibroids, Illness or Medications, Excessive use of Alcohol as well as onset of menopause. These factors will depend on your medical history, habits as well as your age. If you are over 45 years of age, the twice a month menses could be a sign of impending menopause. In order to confirm the diagnosis, you will need to go for a comprehensive medical examination and  laboratory  investigations preferably at a Specialist or Teaching Hospital nearest to you.
