My baby has no teeth at 8 months

Published by

I read in some Medical Journals that a child should have the first tooth at about 6 months. Unfortunately for me, my 8 month old son has no teeth yet. Kindly advise me on what to do about this.

Although, most babies get their first tooth between 4 and 7 months, but there’s a wide range of when it’s considered “normal” to start teething.  There is therefore no reason to panic if your son hasn’t cut a tooth at 8 months.  Exactly when your baby will start teething may even be hereditary among other factors. However, if your baby still does not have any teeth by 10 months, you may need to see a Paediatrician for a proper check up.
