I recently noticed that I am putting on weight in my abdomen. Apart from changing my lovely appearance, it is also making it difficult for me to wear my old clothes. Kindly let me know what to do

Abdominal fat, or belly fat, is linked to an increased risk of certain diseases. For this reason, losing this fat can have significant benefits for your health and well-being. Most people can reduce their abdominal fat through taking on key lifestyle changes, such as eating a healthy diet packed with lean protein, vegetables and fruit, and legumes, and exercising regularly. Some proven ways of reducing abdominal fat include reducing the amount of sugar in your diet as well as completely eliminating sugary drinks. These include sugar-sweetened beverages, sugary sodas, fruit juices, and various high sugar sports drinks. It is also important to increase your intake of high protein foods such as whole eggs, fish, legumes, nuts, meat, and dairy products. Eating fewer carbohydrates is also a very effective way to lose fat. Just avoiding the refined carbs — like sugar, candy, and white bread — should be sufficient, especially if you keep your protein intake high. A high fiber intake from vegetables, fruits, legumes, cereals, and whole oats is also recommended. In addition, exercises like walking, running, and swimming — can allow major reductions in abdominal fat.
