Musiclaunches, vows to promote only religious, cultural acts

Published by

A musical record label, Fly Rekordz, has launched operations in an in-house event in Ibadan, Oyo State capital last Sunday.

The record label, which was established to give platforms to young talents to showcase and develop themselves is focused on promoting cultural and religious acts alone.

Speaking at the in-house event, business magnate and founder of Fly Rekordz, Bolarinwa Kashif, known as Mr Fly, noted that the label is going to be the next big thing in the music industry.

“It’ll be surprising to many that we have decided to base this new record label on religious and cultural acts in a world where hip hop, Afro pop, reggae and sonic music is dominating. However, we have done this to give a platform to talents who sing cultural and religious music because they have been forgotten in the industry,” Kashif said.

He also noted that the promotion of cultural acts will go against the immoral nature of the music we consume in the world today and shine light on the forgotten traditions of Yoruba and Africa at large.

He stated, “Our cultural acts will use their music to remind us of our many forgotten traditions as against the immoral practices we consume through music in today’s world. We would also promote the Yoruba and African culture through the music we release.”

Kashif noted that the record label signed two artistes who are ready to redefine the music industry with their style and lyrics.

“Currently, we have two signees in Atoke Akewi, a traditional chanter and El_Jazaah, a religious act. With these two and others who would join us, Fly Rekordz will take the musical world by storm,” he added.
