Mmesoma Ejike: Mixed reactions trail JAMB results controversy

Published by

Following a video from Mmesoma Ejike on Monday, debunking allegations of forging UTME results as claimed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Nigerians have reacted.

Recall that Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Anambra, who claimed to have scored 362 in the 2023 UTME, was recently celebrated and awarded a N3 million scholarship by Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing company.

But JAMB, on Sunday issued a statement to refute the claims, saying that the result being paraded by the 19-year-old Mmesoma making her the highest scorer in the 2023 UTME was manipulated and that her actual score was 249.

Reacting, a Twitter user simply identified as Engr. Shaibu, stated that Mmesoma didn’t keep mute because she knew the allegations from JAMB were false.

“Ejikeme Mmesoma, the kid accused of tampering with her JAMB result, came out and debunked the allegations. She didn’t keep mute because she knew those allegations were FALSE. Can’t say the same for Ahmed B. Tinubu, the FEMALE man who attended Chicago State University,” Shaibu said.

Another user, tweeting @EnekMoses, flayed the DSS for its role in the results saga, adding that such an issue was supposed to be handled by the civil defence corps.

”Law enforcement is a joke in this country we have Dss doing work which the least civil defense🤦‍♂️ought to be doing road safety on checkpoints stopping vehicles owners instead of asking of documents ya asking for his phone to check fraudulent activities 🇳🇬na play simulation 😒”

While expressing dismay over the possibility of Mmesoma falsifying her results by manipulating JAMB’s portal, another Twitter user said “this same Jamb that lost 36 million to a hungry snake is accusing Ejikeme Mmesoma of Result Fogery 🤣🤣🤣🤣….. una no well ……”
