Military begins two-day range classification exercise around Kagara, environs

The Military has announced the carrying out of a routine training exercise for some of its Soldiers around Kagara town, headquarters of Rafi Local Government Area and its environs from July 21 – 22, adding that the general public is hereby informed.

A statement issued in Minna said the 2-day Range classification exercise will see Soldiers carry out life firing of heavy gunshots within the period.

The statement also said there would be lots of noise from gun firing by the soldiers, and advised the people within the locality not to panic and not to allow mischievous elements to deceive them with negative rumour of any impending danger.

“There should be no public panic because it’s a routine military training exercise. The people around Kagara town and its environs are advised to disregard any attempt by mischief makers who may want to spread false rumour of impending danger,” the statement added.
