Matawalle, Zamfara governor
Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State will be addressing Arewa Youths on issues of insecurity challenges, and political development affecting the Northern region especially the Northwest zone.
This was contained in a statement issued by the National Secretary of Arewa Media Writers (AMW), Haidar Hashim Kano and made available to Tribune Online.
The statement noted that the governor who will be speaking at their annual conference holding on Sunday will speak on the topic, ‘The Fight Against Banditry in the Northwest Nigeria: Challenges and Solutions.
According to the statement, over 1,000 youths across the 19 Northern states including Abuja will be attending the event.
“Arewa Media Writers was established for public enlightenment on peaceful coexistence unity and understanding among Nigerians.
“It is an amalgamated group of different members of teeming youths who are mainly users of social media, seasoned journalists and public affairs analysts with a vast interest in politics, national development and cohesion from the Northern region.
The statement also said the event will showcase Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna State, Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly Yusuf Zailani and Members of National Assembly.
Others are Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, retired security Chiefs, Business Entrepreneurs and other prominent personalities across the country, the statement stressed.
