In a bid to differentiate between mass and social media, a Media Consultant, Alabi Abiodun, has disclosed that mass media fosters connectivity and not interaction.
“Social media makes it extremely easy for your target audience to provide feedback and constantly interact with you. While Traditional media, on the other hand, does not readily provide the means for your audience to interact with your brand and with each other. However, Traditional media fosters connectivity and not interactivity”, he said.
In the news obtained by Tribune Online, Alabi made it known that media like newspaper, magazine, radio, television and internet greatly affects our daily activities as media has the power to influence our thoughts either positive or negative. Moreso, media also educate the people to know about their basic rights and how to nurture their lives.
Alabi Abiodun, also known as King Roy, is the lead team of Headie Media, who consults for media and alongside design.
Speaking on design and its effects, he said it is about creating content to communicate messages through visual sensation and unique experience and also it’s a plan or drawing produced to show the look and functions. Relatively, its a decorative pattern to meet user’s specific needs.
Alabi stressed that media is one of the best ways to share news nowadays, especially if one tries to alert people for emergency as fast as possible, for instance COVID-19 news from individua, states or federal level.
He, thereby, recommended measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which include frequent cleaning of hands using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water, covering the nose and mouth with a flexed elbow or disposable tissue when coughing and sneezing and avoiding close contact with anyone that has a fever and cough.
“Above all, stay at home and be safe with that it can be reduced and with time if the vaccine have been found then it can be eradicated, but for now doing the things have listed up there are just ways to prevent it”, he noted.
