I have had piles for the past 2 years. Although I have been on medications since the disease was discovered, the problem has not improved. Now my doctor is suggesting surgery which I dislike. Kindly let me know how I can manage my Piles without surgery.

Non-surgical haemorrhoid treatments include lifestyle modifications, dietary changes, and over-the-counter remedies. Start by incorporating high-fiber foods into your diet to promote regular bowel movements. Practice good anal hygiene, take warm sitz baths, and use over-the-counter creams or ointments containing ingredients like witch hazel. Additionally, consider lifestyle changes such as staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged sitting. Surgery which is a very harmless procedure in the hands of an expert is still mandatory if symptoms persist especially severe bleeding and difficulty with sitting.
