Olatoye said that the defendant collected N3.2 million from one Mr Edom Morrison on the pretext of buying plumbing equipment for him.
She said that the defendant converted the money to his personal use instead of buying the equipment.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravene Sections 390 and 419 of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun, 2006.
The Magistrate, Mrs Sam Obaleye, admitted the defendant to bail of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
Obaleye said that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and show evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government.
She adjourned the case until Feb 24 for trial.
