The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed in a statement he released to journalists in Lokoja on Friday.

According to Fanwo, the measure ensures a smooth election process and safeguards voters and citizens across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas.

“The State Government has directed security agencies to enforce this order in the interest of public safety and to ensure violators are held accountable.

“We are confident in the ability of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission to conduct a free, fair, and credible poll. We call on all citizens to exercise their democratic rights peacefully and to uphold the power of the ballot over violence,” Fanwo said.
