Late Kwara governor’s dad, a hero ― SSG

Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Kwara State, Professor Mamman Saba Jibril, has condoled with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the entire Abdulrazaq family over the demise of their patriarch, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho AbdulRasaq SAN.

In a statement, on Monday, in Ilorin, the SSG described the elder statesman as a hero, a nationalist and an educationist, saying that his rich bank of experience will be missed not only in the legal field but by all.

Until his death on July 25 2020, Alhaji AbdulRazaq was the Muttawali of Ilorin and the first lawyer in Northern Nigeria.

Prof. Saba prayed Almighty Allah to give the AbdulRazaq family, especially Mallam AbdulRazaq AbdulRaman, the Emir of Ilorin and people of Kwara State the fortitude to bear the loss while asking Almighty Allah to accept the soul of the departed into Firdaus with open arms and forgive him all his shortcomings.
