Lagosians trek, pay high fares as #EndSARS protesters mount roadblocks

As the #EndSARS protests gather momentum at different areas of Lagos State, commercial drivers and motorcyclists have resorted to charging exorbitant fares even as Lagosians trek to their destinations.

Tribune Online gathered that there are roadblocks at Yaba, Alagomeji, Alausa, Ikeja, Agidingbi, Opebi, Allen Avenue areas of the state.

It also gathered that the commercial drivers and motorcyclists are leveraging on the roadblocks to collect twice the amount for bus fares from passengers.

They are charging N400 instead of N200 from Yaba to Obalende.

From Idumota to Obalende is now N200 as against N100 that it used to be prior to the roadblocks.

From Onipan to Ikeja is now N400 as against N200 that it used to be prior to now.

Many Lagosians, who set out for work and trading activities, trekked to their destinations as motorists could not take major roads.
