Lagos govt demolishes structures along Blue Line/BRT corridor

The Lagos State Government has demolished structures along the Blue Line/BRT Corridor on the Lagos Badagry Expressway On Monday, October 23, 2023.

The initiative was announced by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, via a post on Monday.

Gawat disclosed that a special squad, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Bayo Suleiman, is overseeing the cleanup operation.

His caption stated, “The cleanup operation of the entire Blue Line/BRT Corridor on the Lagos Badagry Expressway, extending from Iyana Iba and other parts of the route, remains ongoing.

The State Government has executed various awareness campaigns through radio jingles, stakeholder engagement, and more.”

Gawat also noted that the cleanup operation is now extending to Alaba Rago and its surrounding areas.
