Lagos Assembly mourns APC Chair’s wife, prays for family’s comfort

The Lagos House of Assembly has mourned and extended condolences to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cornelius Ojelabi, on the passing of his wife.

The Chairman, House Committee on Information Strategy and Security, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen made this known in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday.

Stephen described Mrs. Ojelabi as not only a devoted wife to the Lagos State All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman, but also a respected mother and confidante.

He noted that her support and commitment to women’s development advocacy exemplified her dedication to community and family, She was a beacon of strength and inspiration to many.

Stephen, therefore, prayed that they find comfort in cherished memories and the love of those around them. We pray that God, in His infinite mercy, grants the family the strength to endure this irreparable loss.

“With total submission to the will of God Almighty, and on behalf of the Speaker, Rt Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Principal Officers and distinguished members, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi on the passing of his beloved wife, Mrs. Esther Ebunoluwa Ojelabi.

“Mrs. Ojelabi was not only a devoted wife to the Lagos State All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman, but also a respected mother and confidante.

“Her support and commitment to women’s development advocacy exemplified her dedication to her community and her family. She was a beacon of strength and inspiration to many.

“As we stand by our dear leader and his family during this trying time, we pray that they find comfort in cherished memories and the love of those around them. We pray that God, in His infinite mercy, grants the family the strength to endure this irreparable loss.
May He forgive her sins, grant her eternal peace, and comfort all who mourn her departure.

“In unity and love, we honor her memory and extend our deepest sympathies.” He said.
