The need to save without boundaries has become a growing need in the fintech sector. With the rise in remote working, freelancing and the endless possibilities of the internet connecting people from all over the world, receiving and transacting in various currencies is a part of this current dispensation.  This year, the highly coveted Product Innovation Excellence Award was bestowed on Kosisochukwu for her brilliant work on MultiFunds.

This product was designed to facilitate saving in various currencies and allows users to receive, hold, manage, and grow their savings seamlessly, regardless of fluctuating exchange rates.  She recognized a critical gap in the Nigerian financial market, the need for a reliable platform that enables clients to save in different currencies without facing the usual hurdles associated with currency exchange. This award not only validates her efforts but also underscores the significance of the app in enhancing empowerment among individuals. With a mission to make saving accessible and effective, she dedicated her expertise to developing a user-centric application that resonates with the needs of its target audience.

What sets it apart from traditional saving methods are its unique features tailored to the diverse financial settings of Nigeria. Its currency conversion tool, which provides current exchange rates and automatically adjusts savings goals based on current values is a commendable tool. This ensures that users can track their savings in their desired currency, providing clarity and confidence in their planning. The app also offers personalized savings plans that align with users’ financial goals, whether they are saving for education, travel, or emergency funds.

She was inspired to pursue this project after witnessing the challenges many individuals face in receiving and managing their finances across different currencies. Living in a country with a vibrant yet fluctuating economy, she understood firsthand how vital it is for individuals to have a reliable way to save and manage funds in multiple currencies. This realization spurred her to create a solution that not only addressed these challenges but also empowered users to take charge of their financial futures. It tackles these issues head-on, enabling persons to save in stable foreign currencies, thereby safeguarding their savings from the local currency’s volatility.

Receiving the Product Innovation Excellence Award was a profound moment for Kosisochukwu. She expressed her joy through these words

“I am incredibly honored to accept this award on behalf of the entire Multi Funds team. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful financial solutions for Nigerians. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who has supported us on this journey, our users, partners, and the incredible team behind his platform. Together, we are redefining the way people save and manage their finances.”

She further remarked, emphasizing the importance of innovation in driving positive change within the sector.

I am excited about the future because we are dedicated to continuing our mission of empowering individuals to take control of their resources and their lives. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their financial goals, and Multi Funds is here to make that possible.”

This award is reserved for experts who have distinguished themselves through consistent results, hard work and creativity. It is no surprise that this intentional and brilliant solution has been recognized for its impact in people’s lives and the industry at large. With Kosisochukwu Stephanie Umeh at the helm of its affairs, the future looks bright for Multi Funds and its mission to revolutionize how Nigerians save and manage their money across currencies.
