Kogi PDP loses Rep candidate

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency in the last general elections, Hon. Olaiya Michael Olobatoke, is dead.

The family confirmed this in a statement on his Facebook handle.

“With pain in our hearts but gratitude to God Almighty, we announce the passing away of our brother, leader, mentor, and friend, Chief Olaiya Micheal Olobatoke (OMO). Who’s sudden demise happened on Wednesday in Abuja,” the statement read.
