Kings University gets new NUC-approved courses

The leadership of Kings University, Ode Omu, Osun State, on Tuesday, said it has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run additional undergraduate programmes effective from the 2023/2024 academic session.

A statement by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Adenike Kuku, made available to newsmen in Osogbo, listed the newly approved courses as programmes as Nursing Science, Public Health and Medical Laboratory Science all in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.

She noted that approval followed the resource verification exercise conducted in April 2023 by NUC, describing the approval as a recognition of the University’s giant stride in research and development.

The statement further reads: “The approval of the new courses is a recognition of the University giant stride in research and development, quality of programmes, faculty, service and excellence that is ever committed to the ideals of a world-class institution.

“It is also the success that crowned the social investment effort of the proprietor of the University, Kingsway International Christian Centre.”

The statement appreciated the university community for its collective efforts towards achieving the great feat.
