The two children, Christabel and Jasmine, were abducted alongside their mother in their Kaduna home at Juji area of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The kidnappers who had demanded N150 million ransom for the release of the mother and her two children, killed the mother after the family could not pay the money.

Spokesman of Kaduna State police command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, had, last week, confirmed that the bullet-ridden body of the woman was found inside a bush in the Kakau area along the Abuja- Kaduna highway.

But as of the time of filing this report, the police have not confirmed the release of the two abducted children from captivity.

However, their father, Dr Ataga had confirmed to the media that the Kidnappers freed his two children who were dropped by them at Ungwar Kati area along the Juji bypass, where they were later picked by one of his relatives who brought them home, but he did not disclose if any ransom was paid before the release of his children.
