Kebbi NGO gives N1m cash to electrocution victims in Kano

Following the electrocution incident that happened in Mano last week, a Non-Governmental Organization based in Kebbi State, the Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative (KJDI) has donated the sum of one million naira cash for the treatment of a twelve-year-old boy and his father who were severely injured in the incident.

A press statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the NGO, Ibrahim Abubakar Jombali and made available to the Nigeria Tribune stated that the Director of Social Welfare of Amino Kano Teaching Hospital where the victims receive treatment, Abdullahi Ibrahim led Khadimiyya delegation to the family of the victims.

Presenting the cash donation to the victims family, the Treasurer of the Organization, Hello Mohammed Nassarawa said the founder of Khadimiyya who is also the Attorney General of the Federal and Ministry of Justice, Abubakar Malami was deeply touched by what happened, this is why the Foundation decided to donate the money as its modest contribution to saving the lives of father and son.

The statement also quoted the hospital Director of Social Welfare that the patients have been receiving donations from individuals, groups and Organizations, Khadimiyya is the first NGO to physically meet with the victims and present them with cash assistance.

The duo who are currently receiving treatment at the Amino Kano Teaching Hospital has the father’s two hands amputated, while the son lost both hands and legs in the unfortunate incident.
