Kebbi budgets N189.237bn for 2022, seeks assembly approval

The Kebbi State government has presented an N189,237,459,98:27 appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly for the 2022 fiscal year.

Presenting the “Budget of Economic Consolidation,” Governor Abubakar Bagudu stated that the budget also aimed at enhancing agricultural and mineral resources production through access to technology and financial services to increase the state income, provide food security and reduce poverty.

The budget according to Governor Bagudu also aimed to improve the livelihood of youths and women in an inclusive manner through job creation and social-economic empowerment that delivers social progress and transformation.

In the proposal, recurrent expenditure accounts for N61,060,451,684.31 representing 32%, while capital expenditure is in the sum of N128,177,008,113.96kobo repesenting 68%.

The recurrent expenditure includes personnel cost of N36,193,541,804.31kobo and overhead cost of N24,866,909,880.00.
