Residents of Unguwar Dan Dinshe in Dala local government area in the ancient city of Kano State were thrown into confusion, deep shock and sorrow over the disappearance of a four-year-old boy, Musa, who was allegedly kidnapped by a 9-year-old boy named Abubakar.
The Director General of the Kano State hisbah board, Dr. Aliyu Musa Aliyu Kibiya, while narrating the incident disclosed that the parents of the boy lodged a complain concerning their missing son who was last seen with Abubakar before his disappearance and all efforts to trace his whereabouts proved abortive.
According to him, Abubakar was arrested alongside his parents when hisbah personnel who specializes in such cases commenced investigation to unravel the truth behind the mistery as the master mind behind the kidnapping claimed he handed the young boy to one Malam, who was immediately arrested.
However, after five days of intensive scrutiny and investigation, Abubakar told the hisbah officials that he had lied about taking Musa to the Malam, saying he had dumped the four/year-old boy into a large pit at kofar Dawanau.
Dr. Kibiya however disclosed that as luck was on their side, the four-year-old Musa was found alive at ‘gidan mai Unguwar Dawanau.
He urged residents of Dan Dinshe to remain calm as the agency would not relent in its efforts of eradicating all forms of vices and protecting the lives and properties of Kano citizens.
Speaking on the Incident, Abubakar’s father Malam Abdullahi commended hisbah officials for their dedication and commitment and promised to be more vigilant to avoid future occurrence.
