Kano govt orders immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College

Published by

Kano State Government has directed the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College as part of measures to avert attack and kidnapping of students and staff of the college by kidnappers.

This was contained in a statement signed by Public Relation Officer (PRO), Ministry of Education Kano, Alhaji Aliyu Yusuf, a copy of which was made available on Tuesday to pressmen in Kano.

The statement stated that: “The closure of the college which was announced by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru was necessitated following a disturbing security report and the need to protect the lives of the students, teachers and other staff of the college.”

He, therefore, urged parents to immediately evacuate their children from the college and wait for further directives.

The commissioner further used the opportunity to express appreciation of the state government to parents/guardians for their unflinching support and cooperation on the government’s policies and directives, especially on security-related matters.
