I am a 60- year- old man. I often get so constipated that I have to force out the hard stool. The last time I tried this, I noticed that some blood came out of my anus. I also have some pains in my anus. I want to know if this is Pile and what to do about it.

From your explanation, what you have is not Piles (Haemorrhoids). What you have is a tear in your anus (Anal Tear) as a result of having forced out the hard stool out of your anus. In view of the wound in your anus, it will be a good idea if you can sit in warm salt water for about three times every day. To avoid a recurrence of the condition, you need to keep your stool soft by taking generous amount of water, fruits and vegetables. If there is no improvement in your condition, it will be advisable to consult a doctor for a proper examination.
